A lifelong dog lover, I met my first retired racing greyhound when I was eight and it only took three years to convince my parents to adopt our dog Chattanooga, or Nooga as she was known, from a racetrack in Idaho. Ever since Nooga passed away a few years ago, I have been regularly dog-sitting many local greyhounds, and a few other breeds as well (and occasionally also cats, plants, fish and chickens!).
